Another TV Dinner review. This time for the Lean Cuisine – Szechuan Style Stir Fry with Shrimp.
Cooking instructions – Cook for 3.5 Minutes
Smell- This smells fishy or like seafood after cooking.
Look- It doesn’t look that great frozen, once cooked it looks ok. Nothing special presentation wise.
Taste- The spaghetti noodles taste alright with the sauce that’s in the meal. The baby corn and pea pods were not tasty. The pea pods were rubbery and the corn did not taste like it should. There are green, red and yellow peppers julienned throughout. These tasted ok. The shrimp actually tasted pretty good. It could use a little more sauce or more spice or flavor to the existing sauce. I didn’t like this meal enough to purchase it again.
Serving size- Since I didn’t like the baby corn and pea pods, this meal didn’t fill me up. At 230 calories it is a good option if your going for low cal smaller portions.

Another TV- Dinner review. Marie Callender’s Turkey Breast with Stuffing. This review will refer to the Smart Ones Slow Roasted Turkey Breast meal since they are very similar. See that review here. The difference being, Smart Ones meal only has turkey, gravy and mashed potatoes. This meal has Green Beans mixed with some cranberries, Stuffing, Mashed Potatoes and turkey with gravy.
Cooking instructions – Cook for 4 minutes, stir potatoes and meat, heat for another 3 minutes.
Smell- Not too much aroma from this meal. Compared the Smart Ones Slow Roasted Turkey Breast, which smelled great, this did not have much of a smell.
Look- This looks appetizing frozen and once cooked, it looks really good.
Taste- The green beans and cranberries are useless. The green beans don’t taste good. Not a fan at all. They taste nuked and are a tad watery to boot. The stuffing is actually quite good. I would rate the stuffing higher than Stouffers Stuffing. It was moist and tasty. The mashed potatoes were very good as well. They tasted richer than the Smart Ones Mashed Potatoes. The turkey and gravy although, were not as good as the Smart Ones Slow Roasted Turkey. The Turkey in the Smart Ones meal is more moist and tender. This meal is more filling than the Smart Ones Slow Roasted Turkey, but in my opinion, not as good. I would choose the Smart Ones meal over this one any day. Why? Better turkey, better gravy, Half the price, I don’t like the green beans and the mashed potatoes are not that much better that I would choose this meal over the Smart Ones. The stuffing was good in this meal, but not enough to make me choose it over the Smart Ones. I paid about $3.75 for this meal at Dominick’s.
Serving size- Serving size pretty good. That is if you can stomach the green beans. The portion size is still acceptable without the beans. Smart ones is a tad smaller even without the beans, but not by much.
I will be sticking with the smart ones when I want a turkey TV dinner.
Jolly Rancher Vodka. Apple, grape and watermelon are the best in my opinion and in that order. I prefer to take these as shots as the candy really takes away the bite of the vodka. It can sneak up ya.

Another TV- Dinner review. This time for the Smart Ones slow roasted turkey breast. My number one favorite from Smart Ones.
Cooking instructions – I just cook it for 3 1/2 minutes. It comes out perfect in my microwave.
Smell- This smells just like a turkey dinner. Smells great.
Look- This looks appetizing frozen and once cooked, it looks really good.
Taste- My favorite from Smart Ones. This has an excellent taste. The turkey is tender, the gravy is really good. If there is a downside, I would say it is the mashed potatoes. You will see from my photos that I mix the mashed potatoes in with the turkey and gravy. The potatoes are good, but they become excellent when mixed in with the gravy. I have had this meal about 20 times now and this is the way I have done for the last 15 times or so. These meals can be found for a great price as well. I actually picked up 10 for $10 at target a few months ago. They are often on sale. They are healthy to boot. One of my top recommendations.
Serving size- Serving size is ample. I always have an apple or something with it at lunch when at work and this makes it a satisfying meal. Not hungry afterward.
Still looks good frozen.
After the initial heating.
After I put the potatoes into the turkey and gravy. Note- I mix it all up very well prior to eating. I like to incorporate the gravy into the mashed potatoes.
“MMMMvelopes are bacon envelopes. No, they’re not made of bacon, but they look like a perfectly marbled piece of pork flesh. But that’s not the best part! The best part is that when you lick these envelopes to seal your writings inside, the adhesive TASTES LIKE SCRUMTRULESCENT BACON. Seriously. No more envelopes that taste like finely aged butt cheese. No more tiny sponges dipped in water to avoid the taste of finely aged butt cheese. Lick your envelopes and lick them well, geek friends. Finally, a reason to send snail mail again!” w/ photos
